b*daily :: weekend wanderings

Hello, loves. Happy Monday. Today is a good day. The sun is shining. I am happy. I’m back after a busy weekend, and I’m here to share a few snippets of it.

On Friday, I headed to my alma mater for the annual Senior Design Show. And, lucky me, I got to hang out with my dearest Laura Stewart. For those who are new to the blog, Laura was my design intern last year. We had a lot of fun. We ate a lot of pie. We did headstands. We made a movie. We chatted. Oh, and we designed stuff. Sometimes. We also went kayaking this summer, and have managed to stay in touch throughout the year. Hitting up the design show together was all kinds of nostalgic, because that is where I met Laura one whole year ago. Fun, fun, fun!

Another weekend highlight… On Sunday while hubby was working, I got to hang out with little brother. He grabbed his camera and we drove country roads. We stopped just as the sun was sinking, I threw on some running shoes and we made these…

I know I’m not supposed to be running, but. Whatever. It was only about 20 yards back and forth for an hour or so. NoBigDeal! We had a blast and I sort of felt like an athlete or something. He got portfolio images, I got profile pictures. Win, win.

Okay. Those are two of my weekend highlights. What are yours?

    Bethany, I saw this and thought of you after this post. [http://thecolorrun.com/minnesota/] It’s the Color Run and looks super fun. I am going to be running the Portland one with my co-workers and will be heading down to San Francisco for the one there. And if I was around for the one in my hometown of Seattle, I would run that, too!

    I posted on my blog about my weekend – I spent it in the mountains, skiing. :) [http://exploretraveladventure.blogspot.com/2012/02/white-weekend.html]
