What I love about Jenna Park is her ability to narrate the simple, beautiful and sometimes mundane aspects of life in a stunning and meaningful manner. Jenna’s blog, Sweet Fine Day, is one of my absolute favorites. I love her perspective on life, as well as her willingness to be real with her readers. Along with her husband Mark, Jenna owns and operates Whimsy & Spice, an online shop brimming with a mouthwatering array of handmade sweets. She is also a talented designer, a natural behind the camera, and a native New Yorker with two darling daughters. I’m so happy to have her on the blog today, sharing about her favorite season. Take it away, Jenna!

Favorite thing about fall: It’s the season of renewal, a fresh start. A perfect time to begin that project that you’ve been procrastinating all summer. The cooler air gets you motivated, makes you feel alive again.
Favorite fall flavor to taste, sip or savor: I’m not at all a great fan of squash, but I absolutely love Delicata Squash roasted with butter, maple syrup and black pepper. It’s the perfect Fall flavor and so good. The squash just melts in your mouth.
Three must-do’s to celebrate the fall season:
1. Re-organize the closet so that jackets, boots, scarves and sweaters are accessible. I often feel lost when dressing for summer, but Fall is my favorite time for fashion.
2. Apple and pumpkin picking at a farm.
3. Taking long walks in my neighborhood. Brownstone Brooklyn is at its most charming in the Fall. The light isn’t as harsh, the leaves are wonderfully crunchy on the sidewalk and the neighborhood starts to get festive with Halloween decorations, which people really get into here in our neighborhood, around the beginning of October. It’s so much fun.
