Well, the studio re-do is just about done! Everything is put back together, and I have been enjoying the form and function of this room for a few weeks now. The organization, additional workspace, and the clean, new look make for a pretty pleasing place to spend my days. These photos give you a little bit better idea of how the room feels as a whole.

After living and working in the improved studio for awhile now, I have identified two more projects I need to tackle before calling this room a wrap. First, the space below the octagon window is practically begging for something to finish it off. A piece of artwork, another pinboard, a shelf, or something that will help give that end of the room just the right dose of interest needs to be found and added. Secondly, I would like to remove the carpeting in this room to reveal the wood floors below, and then find a fun, graphic area rug for the center of the room. The thought of finding the right rug is a little bit daunting, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to send them my way!

Bethany!!! I LOVE your studio! Gorgeous. I have a pale gray craft room with white trim that I love. Just something about gray and crisp white!

I’ve found a few fun rugs at Overstock.com recently. I’m careful to always read the reviews. Most people are pretty honest about color and quality. I’ve found some pretty good deals. Good luck!

If you want…post some rugs you’re considering and we (your cyber fans) will help you narrow it down. :)

Just a suggestion for under the octagon window – what about some kind of wall decal?? like some kind of grass or flower..something like this: http://www.etsy.com/listing/62705506/dandelions-personlized-interior-wall?ref=sr_gallery_30&ga_search_query=wall+decal&ga_page=3&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_facet=handmade

What fun to find out what the wood floor will look like! I bet it will be beautiful.
Amelia’s suggestions were great! That Dandelion decal is so peaceful and calming! I might just have to purchase it for my craft room. :)

LOVE THE ROOM. What is that paint color? You did a great job!

  5. Your studio looks Amazing! it will even better with wood floors and SO much easier to clean up threads and beads that fall to the floor!

Thanks for the kind words about my studio, ladies!

heather, I love the idea of sharing rug options with my readers! I’m counting on you guys to help me narrow it down. =)

Amelia… brilliant idea!!! YES! I love the idea of a wall decal! Thanks for the inspiration!

Heather, the color is Gravel by Restoration Hardware. It’s a very cool gray… almost a blue-gray. I’m loving it so far though…
