Remember the master bedroom project? Yes, it’s been awhile. If you’ve forgotten, I’ll find it in my heart to forgive you. But only if you send me dark chocolate. ANYWAYS. I wrapped up the room last April, and have since been living in it and loving it. It’s cozy, but not cluttered. It’s easy and simple, but has plenty of personality.
I bring it up now because last week I made a subtraction and an addition to the master bedroom, and it’s worth sharing. I was never really a huge fan of the bedside lamps, but was also unsure what to replace them with. I’d considered something wall-mounted, and went as far as purchasing a set and painting them black. In the end, however, they just weren’t doing it for me. Enter a random trip to Home Depot and a set of swing arm lamps for $30. Yes, the SET was $30. I’m not sure how that math works, but HEY! Who am I to judge? I scooped these babies up and welcomed them into my home with love and kisses and promises of cozy nights cuddled up in bed with a good book. They’re not Pottery Barn or Restoration Hardware, but I’m all about mixing things up. West Elm sheets with Ikea coverlet; DIY headboard with designer wall art; Home Depot lamps with vintage accessories, if you get my drift.

Pretty sure I will be stopping by Home Depot this weekend to look at their lamps. We’re trying to find some for our new townhouse and I didn’t even think to look there! Thanks!
I love the empty picture frames idea! I will be looking to do this! lovely
